Fraser Lake Crisis Centre is available for Fraser Lake and surrounding area citizens. The Crisis centre offers clothing, kitchen items, some assistance for food but does yearly Christmas food hampers.
Fraser Lake Crisis Centre has an on site licensed grief and trauma councillor who will council or will make referrals to Connexus or Northern Health if needed. They also support drug and alcohol referrals for all ages and can help parents have discussions or just to talk with children and youth.
Operating hours are 8 am to 3:30 pm but closed for lunch 12 pm to 1 pm.
The presence or absence of a mental illness is not a predictor of mental health; someone without a mental illness could have poor mental health, just as a person with a mental illness could have excellent mental health.
